Riad Azmera

Our story

A house of light

Behind a cedar door in the old medina, a centuries-old family home restored by the hands that know it best.

Riad Azmera's courtyard seen from the upper gallery, fountain at its centre
A quiet medina street with the riad's discreet door and lantern

Like every riad, Azmera turns its back to the street and opens inward — to a courtyard garden, the sound of water and a square of Moroccan sky. For generations it was a family home. Today it welcomes travellers who want to experience Marrakech from the inside.

The name Azmera evokes the rich colours of the land around the city — the terracotta walls, the green of the zellige, the gold of late afternoon light on the Atlas.

01

Craft

Every arch, ceiling and tile was restored by hand by Marrakchi maâlems, using tadelakt, cedar and zellige as they have for centuries.

02

Calm

Only three suites, one courtyard and a team that knows your name. Azmera is made for slow mornings and quiet evenings.

03

Care

From airport pick-up to your last mint tea, our hosts look after every detail — and share the Marrakech only locals know.
